Peaceful Beach Retreat

The owners of this beautiful beach front home wanted to create a place to relax and get away from the busy world beyond. They love the use of natural surroundings as well as soft tranquil colors. As lifelong collectors of antiques, these clients also wanted the space to have old world charm. The kitchen needed to feel open and inviting. Luckily it was blessed with lots of natural light and stunning ocean views!

In order to keep with the feel of the home we selected a soft tone of light gray for the cabinetry. These custom inset cabinets were painted with real brush strokes for a hand crafted feel.

A quartz countertop that resembles soapstone was selected at the perimeter. This gives the look of a natural stone without the maintenance. The large island top is a lighter quartz so as to keep the space light and airy.

Storage is abundant with many deep drawers, and magic corner cabinet. There is even a television hidden behind pocket doors above the refrigerator. A large walk-in pantry is only steps away. Open shelving and glass doors provide the perfect place for these collectors to showcase their unique finds.

High end appliances like this Bertazzoni range complete the look and function of the space.

The island and hood feature weathered quarter sawn oak with a stain that reflects the warm gray tones found in driftwood. This adds warmth and texture to the room. A painted pewter "Metal Fusion" finish accents the hood and island drawers. This will patina over time creating a wonderful richness, as well as the natural bronze that we selected.
