New England Charm

This New Hampshire, colonial kitchen’s windows flood the space with natural light. Neutral painted custom cabinets are accented by a walnut kitchen island with a green stain. The quartz countertops are durable and easy to clean.

We wanted to keep the room warm and welcoming. We selected custom painted inset cabinetry by Kountry Kraft. Keeping the perimeter a light color allowed us to use a green stain on walnut for the island. This adds color as well as rich texture. The end-grain walnut butcher block top at the island and the patterned marble backsplash tile add interest.

There are three main work zones in the kitchen. The first is the main work triangle including the Wolf range top, Sub Zero refrigerator, and large sink.  The second is a baking zone with Wolf double ovens and extra countertop space. Under the windows is the third zone, a prep area with sink and lots of storage including glass doored cabinetry.

Overall the space provides the owners with an updated traditional look that fits the character of the home, while being very function for multiple users. It is a wonderful place for weekly meals or entertaining a crowd.
